Where Do I See My Earnings & How Do I Get Paid?
This guide explains when royalties are processed, where to see your sales and earnings, and how to request a payout from elasticStage.
1. Royalties Reporting (When You Get Paid)
As per our Terms & Conditions, royalties are processed at the end of each month for the previous month.
For example: royalties for October sales are processed by the end of November.
Real-time sales activity and monthly royalty processing are separate systems.
2. Where to Check Your Sales & Earnings
- Go to SALES to view:
- Sales Overview – units sold last week and in total
- Royalties Overview – earnings based on monthly reporting
- Monthly Reports – downloadable reports for each month with sales
- Visit RELEASES for real-time unit sales per release.
3. How to Request a Payout
To transfer your royalties into your bank account, complete the following steps in ACCOUNT:
- Complete the Tax Interview
- Set up your payout details in the Payment Portal
The Payment Portal is managed by our trusted payment provider, Tipalti. Your banking details are stored securely by Tipalti — elasticStage does not store your payment information.
Once setup is complete, you can transfer any positive balance from your royalty reports.
4. Payment Methods
Bank Transfers (Global)
Depending on your country, payouts may be processed as a local transfer, SEPA transfer, or international wire.
PayPal (US Creators Only)
PayPal payouts are currently available only for creators based in the United States.
To enable PayPal:
- Log into your account
- Go to ACCOUNT
- Select PayPal in the Payment Portal
- Enter your PayPal email address
Important: Your name and email must match your PayPal account exactly for verification.
5. Payout Fees
- A £1.19 self-billing fee is charged per payout (passed on from Tipalti).
- Any transfer or foreign exchange (FX) costs are deducted from the amount you request.
- Tipalti will notify you of any country-specific transfer fees.
6. SWIFT Codes
In many cases, a SWIFT code is required for international transfers. If you do not have one, you may choose to use another bank account that you fully trust.
Withholding Tax (FAQ)
Why do you deduct withholding tax from my royalties?
In certain cases, we are required to deduct withholding tax from royalties and pay it to the UK tax authority (HMRC). Whether this applies depends on the information provided in your Tax Interview.
It is an offence under UK law to make an incorrect statement about your tax residency.
Will I receive proof if tax is deducted?
Yes. If withholding tax is applied, you can download a Certificate of Tax Deduction from your ACCOUNT section. This confirms how much tax elasticStage paid to HMRC on your behalf.
Can I reduce withholding tax using a tax treaty?
If your country has a tax treaty with the UK, you may be able to apply for a reduced rate by submitting the required HMRC documentation.
